EILEEN

(currently in process)

Eileen is a play staged as a dance. Set in a hospital waiting room, it unfolds through a series of interwoven monologues: a trans patient on the brink of a life-changing medical procedure, an aging gay rodeo star, a mysterious sleeping man, and a fed-up medical trainee. Through their stories, Eileen explores the tender edges between humanity and harm in our healthcare system, the ambiguous territories of "mental health", and the kind of love that lingers. What does true healing look like? What does it demand? And what would it take to transform our healthcare system so that healing isn't just possible, but inevitable?
